Croton Watershed Chapter

Welcome to the TU Croton Watershed Chapter

Our mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America’s trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds.

Connetquot River State Park Trip

The Chapter's second trip of the year will be to Connetquot River State Park on Monday, June 23. Our last trip was a great success with many of us landing a fine assortment of fat, healthy fish. Take the day off from work. Get out in the fresh and have a great time!

You can sign up online by clicking the following link: <Register for Connetquot>. You can also contact Sue directly by e-mail

Join Us at the AuSable Club

Perhaps for the last time, trips director Sue Carey has been able reserve the exclusive AuSable club in Lake Placid, NY. This year's trip is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 13-15. This is a wonderful opportunity to fish the Club's private water and enjoy their great facilities. Click here to enroll on-line.

Preserve our wetlands and streams

The Eastern United States is densely populated and faces a host of environmental challenges ranging from air pollution to overdevelopment to growing demands for ground and surface water.  Throughout the region, TU staff and volunteers are rolling up their sleeves to work for healthier watersheds and to protect and restore wild trout populations. How can I help?

Unwanted Species

Aliens are invading our streams and lakes.  Exotic fish, mollusks, earthworms, plants and their diseases can be devastating to our fish, as well as the ecology of springs, wetlands, lakes and rivers. Which Species? What can I do?
