Fly-Fishing and Fly-Tying Schools for 2007

The Croton Watershed of Trout Unlimited (CWTU) is pleased to announce its Fly-Fishing and Fly-Tying Schools for 2007. Classes start Monday, March 5, 2007 and continue through May 7, 2007. The schools are offered in the John Jay High School (JJHS) in conjunction with the Katonah-Lewisboro Continuing Education Program. JJHS is located at 60 North Salem Road in Cross River (on Route 121, 3/10 mile north of Route 35 in Cross River).

Tuition for the “Fly-Fishing School” is $100. A copy of the CWTU guide Fly Fishing the Croton Watershed will be included with the student materials. Rods will be available to students for casting practice sessions.

Tuition for the “Fly-Tying School” is $100 which includes the tying materials used in the class. Vise and tools are required. A copy of the CWTU guide Fly Fishing the Croton Watershed will be included with the student materials

Below are schedules for both the Fly-Fishing School and Fly-Tying School. The classes meet on the same dates and times.

Please fill out the application below and mail it with your check made payable to “Croton Watershed Chapter/TU” to the above address. Alternatively, you can drop the application and check at The Bedford Sportsman located on 75 Adams Street in Bedford Hills.

March 26 Short line nymphing and local streams

April 16 Flyfishing knots, ecology and stream manners (tape on C & R)
April 23 Casting class at Increase Miller School, Katonah
